RSVP now and sign up to volunteer, even if you can’t
make it.

On Saturday, January 8th, we met to build Nika’s Campaign for Senate with the Campaign Committee, newly hired staff and advisors familiar with the Senate district. We shared ideas and feedback on our campaign principles, vision, and strategy. We’ll send you the agenda and follow-up from that meeting when you RSVP for pre-launch events.

Over 60 people attended, and we heard from Mayor Kim Janey, Honorary Campaign Chair, Representative Russell Holmes, Honorary District Chair, and Civic leader and community activist Mel King. Although unable to attend, Councilors Ricardo Arroyo and Kendra Lara join Rep. Holmes as Honorary District Chairs.

The press release announcing our new campaign staff went out today! It includes an invitation to all to gather outdoors in Nubian Square for the campaign announcement on January 19th. The official launch will be marked by the beginning of Black History Month. Throughout February we’ll be holding kickoff events in each of the 7 neighborhoods of the Senate district. Check out this map of the district below.

Team Nika friends, family, supporters, and new friends have been growing this movement since early 2018 and are at the heart of our new and exciting campaign. We can only launch the campaign after we hear YOUR thoughts! We want to gather with you, catch up, connect, and share with excitement the Nika for Senate vision for the 2nd Suffolk District!

Can you join us on January 19 and/or January 29RSVP either way to get engaged! Can’t wait to see you!
